University Library and Archives

The University Library and Archives is a public specialist library with national and regional significance which was founded in 1949.
Since September 2006, the University Library and Archives provides modern conditions for library work and meets the scientific and professional demands of the readers in its 5-floored, nearly 5,000 m2 area.
The University Bookshop, the Publishing and Printing House can be found on the ground floor. The University Archives is on the first floor. The spacious reading rooms on the second and third floors provide a calm atmosphere and support the work of tutors and students with a stock of 70,000 open access titles and networked computers.
Another important function of the library is the collection and preservation of the dissertations, PhD and doctoral theses and the University's own publications.
Opening hours of the reading rooms:
During the academic year:
- Monday - Thursday 9 am - 6 pm
- Friday 9 am - 3 pm
During summer holiday:
- Monday - Thursday 9 am - 4 pm
- Friday 9 am - 1 pm
Fee and validity of the reader's ticket and admission card
Registration fee: for a year counting from the day of registration: 1 600 HUF
Admission card: 200 HUF (it is valid all day marked on the ticket, during the opening hours of the library)
Reduction of the registration fee
For teachers, researchers, employees, and full-time PhD students (with an active status) of the University of Pannonia: free of charge
For correspondence PhD students (active status) of the University of Pannonia: 400 HUF
For students of other universities, colleges, secondary schools: 800 HUF
For teachers, pensioners: 800 HUF
Replacement of lost readers' card: 500 HUF
Advance booking fee: 100 HUF
Detention fee: 10 HUF/day/ book, for books borrowed for the weekends 100 HUF/day/book
Cost of sending notices for delay:
- 1st notice: 100 HUF
- 2nd notice: 200 HUF
- 3rd notice: 300 HUF
- 4th notice: 400 HUF

Publishing House of the University of Pannonia and University Bookshops
Building M ground floor, Building K
The Publishing House of the University of Pannonia (Building M, ground floor) publishes the university teaching materials in printed and digital forms. It is also available online in the library (Building M, second and third floor).
Every freshman gets a card with a bar-code upon registration, which is a reader's card and an admission ticket to the Computer lab and also an aid for buying books in the university bookshops.

The University Bookshops are closed from 21st July 2009 to 15th August 2009.
